In February 2024, Place du Général-Gouraud in Neuilly-sur-Seine welcomed a permanent piece by artist Nathalie Decoster, "L'Espace-Temps," marking the completion of the Town's full redevelopment of the public square. Standing opposite the newly renovated Espace Dupont-Fauville, the sculpture converses with the square's large umbrella pine and takes its lasting place within this newly landscaped setting, freely accessible year-round.
The installation extends a reflection the artist has pursued since 1989 around the theme of time, central to her sculptural practice: it stages a single silhouette inviting us to see time not as a constraint but as a space to be claimed — negotiated, built, courted, in her own words — anchoring that form in the site's renewal to spark a reflection at once playful and poetic on art's place in public space.
